Journey on Relaxation Exercise

I performed an exercise where I sat comfortable (I could have laid down) with my arms in my lap. I closed my eyes and took deep breaths, concentrating on moving the blood from my core to my arms and hands. I then thought as I exhaled, "My arms are very warm and heavy." I did this for several moments. I noticed that my arms were indeed warmer and heavier and more relaxed. I lifted my arms up and although I was capable of doing so, they were noticeably heavier than usual. Then I thought about the blood flowing back into my core. After doing this exercise my whole body did feel more relaxed and I believe that the power own your own suggestion and thought can impact functions that your body normally does on its own.
